Pet Python

We have some good friends that have a pet python, they brought it out after dinner and let all the kids hold it.
Payton enjoyed it...
Daddy enjoyed it...
Mommy enjoyed it...

Will grandma enjoy the pictures??
haha

Wannabe

I have decided I am a Wannabe housewife...

I only sew when it's easy,
hard projects are left unfinished

I finished this tutu for Payton in 2 days,
the curtains I started almost a year ago will be lucky to be hung before we move

I only bake when I crave something,
and only cook to keep peace in our home

I like to bake but cooking with a 2 year old wanting to help is CRAZY,
having a dinner menu has kept us from the 'what's for dinner' confrontation,
then it is just figuring out whose turn it is for clean up!

I am OK admitting it,
Wannabe is alright for me :)

Working on O-Chem

Chad has been such a good student this summer. He has a weekly exam and 3 plus hours of homework a night...not much fun for a summer agenda. I am so proud of him. He did great and got an A for his 1st summer semester class. I caught him having a little fun while studying tonight, boy I love this guy!!

It's Wednesday

Today is my day off.
It ends up being a day FILLED with fun for mommy and Payton.
We went to the pool and had lots of fun with friends.

Payton sure is our little water baby.
If we keep up with the pool I have no doubt by the end of the summer she will be very close to swimming by herself.
They have a summer movie program for the kids at our theater: they show last summer movies for a dollar, have activities for the kids and raffle off the movie. Payton won the raffle today and got The Tail of Despereaux on DVD, the movie was a cute and we had a good time.

Back to the real world tomorrow :)

Fun on the Fourth

A double batch of peanut popcorn :)

Fireworks!
The group of us watching fireworks at the Commons; everyone was there. Jay was home from UT for the weekend and Scott and Cortney came down from G-town. It was great!!
Payton playing in the park before the "boom booms", there was so much fun stuff. She even got a twinkle twinkle bar at the DQ tent.
This made her day...she LOVES firetrucks
Petting Zoo- the little goats were too cute and I think she really wants a baby bunny (please daddy?)
Grammie and PaPa came up and took us out to lunch at Red Robin

We had a great Independence Day. We topped of the day with a popcorn party with Payton, mommy and daddy watching Cars. We are really enjoying how big our little girl is getting :)
