Snake Night

WARNING: The following pictures are uncensored and may be graphic in nature :)
So our good friends Brian and Jami are reptile lovers, with several very large snakes in their home. Sad to say their reticulated python passed away after a fluke accident. On Tuesday night after the ward Trunk or treat Brian invited us over to help him with the task of skinning the scaly reptile. Measuring in at 8' 3'', the whole task took us 4 hours.

Chad and I have taken several anatomy classes and this was definitely a great and fun experience- once in a life time for sure!

Baseball

We love Colorado sports; football, basketball and baseball.
We had a great time at Payton's first Rockies game.
She loved that we sat next to the fountain, lots of home runs!!

Wednesdays

Wednesdays are my days off... I like to make the days special and spend them with Payton and our friends.

We went to the Children's Museum.
She was a firefighter and a veterinarian.
A gardener and a painter.

There is a nature area were the kids can dress up in animal costumes.
She makes a darn cute duck and bunny.

They really do a great job with the scenary; hills, underground caves and trees, they are too cute!

There was a train station, ballet area, construction zone and grocery store. It made for a day full of fun.
Another day at the Denver ZOO.

It was a cooler day which was great because ALL of the animals were out!! It was a Blast!!

A day at the Museum of Nature and Science
Our little astronauts
Fun in the DISCOVERY zone

Expidtion Health
We have a blast on Wednesdays and have great friends!!

Project Time

Maybe it was posting a month or so ago that I still hadn't finished my curtains that motivated me to do it...whatever it was my curtains are done!!

There are 2 different windows, same curtains for both- I even ended up making pillows to match :)

Payton has been my little dinner time helper: she likes to watch, get ingredients, set the table and tell daddy 'dinner's ready'.

I also have been enjoying a few personal sewing projects now that the burden of getting my curtains has been lifted. I made this shirt from an old jersy shirt of Chads.

It was fun and easy and a great way to spend 'me time'.
I plan on continuing to sew, I realized I really like the satisfaction of seeing something I made. I picked up some fabric that was on sale and I plan on making a cute dressy ruffle shirt. Payton also likes my new hobby because she has gotten a princess pillowcase and a new little shirt. More pictures of completed projects to come!
