'happy' Girls

Payton and Lane have matching PJ's, footie's are great!

Miss Independent

Payton is getting so big. She loves to do everything by herself. She has been making her own breakfast now for some time but she recently decided she enjoys making sandwiches. She has made us sack lunches almost every day this week. Here is the end products...yeah i know, proceed with caution.
She is very intent when making her sandwiches.
Too bad she isn't as intent about keeping everything clean and sticky-free. Chad and I just chuckle as we move from nob to nob, the next one stickier than the first.

We Have a Sitter

A few weeks ago Lane started to sit on her own. Now she is a pro. She sits for about an hour, bends over to pick up toys and manages not to tip over when she gets excited or Payton gives her a run by hug.

Our Little Artist

Payton has been coloring and drawing non-stop.
She has great tools and plenty of space.
And an imagination that soars!
Here is the picture she drew of our family, she knows exactly who everyone is.

Fort Payton

When we were in Utah we went to IKEA. This event has been in the planning for several months now. Payton was a big girl in a little bad and now she is a little girl in a big bed. We got her a loft bed and a cute storage shelf that made it back to Colorado strapped on the roof of our car. It will really be nice when our IKEA in Lone Tree is done :)

Utah For New Years

My friend Emily got married out in Salt Lake over New Year's weekend. We drove during the first snow storm of the year (at least that we have seen), all things considered it wasn't too bad of a drive. The girls did fantastic and we had an enjoyable time. Kathleen came up from Texas, it has become a one time a year reunion for us around Christmas.

We always end up at our favorite place, In and Out, whenever we visit a state that has one. This trip wasn't any different, it was a treat!

Christmas Morning

We spent the night at the Millers, Carlee was home from school and Danyelle came down for the morning. The whole family was there and it was really nice. Carlee made up some beautiful cinnamon rolls for the festive morning.
Payton had a great morning opening presents. She also was so patient waiting for Danyelle and Jared to get there.
She got so many new pet shops.
And more makeup than any 4 year old needs.
Lane sat and watched very well with Grammie
Payton got Tangled gear to add to her princess attire.
When Lane wasn't sitting with Grammie she was Santa's little helper passing out presents.
She loves her PaPa.
All Payton wanted for Christmas was a popcorn tin, look what Santa brought her!

A Visit From Bobby

Uncle Bobby came for Christmas this year, actually a whole week, we had a really nice visit. Lane really liked him, he was a baby whisperer :)
For our Christmas eve lunch Booby took us to Rodizio's for a Brazilian meal. It was like nothing I have ever had, TONS of fantastic food!!
Payton couldn't get enough and now has Rodizio's listed as her favorite.
Lane looked so cute all ready for Santa.

Not the Gumdrop Buttons

We made gingerbread people this years as our Christmas treat. Chad was the cook and I was the decorator (Payton was in charge of the gumdrops). I tried to make them resemble the families we were bringing them too, from a BYU fan, princess, sports player and the well recognized elder I let my imagination go wild. We had a lot of fun!!
