Paytons' Growing Personality

Being as right now this is the closest thing I have that resembles a journel, or something to put memories in that I don't want to forget, this post will be a list of Paytons fun filled new quirks.

1. Waves (3 types)- Depending on the occasion or mood there is the movement of just the fingers, the flayling of the arm or the normal hand wave. She has recently been favoring the just finger wave.
2. Laughs- While Payton is a very happy child she has her best laughs when tickled under her neck or when she offers you a lick of her sucker then quickly pulls it back laughing (we have NO idea where she picked this one up, but you can't help laughing too)
3. Dances- Her favorites on the radio are the Santna/Chad Kroeger "Into the Night" and the anything John Mayer (which confuses me because mommy has never really cared much for him). Other times we find her dancing by bouncing up and down and tucking her chin while walking in a circle is during Teletubbies (her fav cartoon) or during the Blue Man Group special that was recently on tv .
4. Hi-5s'- What can I say it is just dang cute!
5. Blows kisses- Grammie and Aunties work finally paid off! What started as a point from her lips to you is now a full hand over the mouth and 'muah' sound as she pulls it away. It is great when she is really excited because even regular kisses take on the 'muah' sound.
6. The 'lip' thing- Though nothing glamorous, the puckering-lip-jut often is a sign of disagreement or pure silliness. It is usually accompanied with sniffing in and out and then an ear to ear grin.
7. Sniffing- Candles, the fake flowers on the table or Papa, when she wants any of them she sniffs and points. With Papa always smelling good, getting ready to go to the church, she figured out quickly that was a special thing just about him. I can't wait for her to do it for a poopy diaper...wonder if she would know the difference between a good smell and a bad one. :)
8. 'Naked foot'- It doesn't matter if the drive is across town or across the street, it is a garuntee that one foot (yes just one) will be missing a shoe and a sock. We don't know why she does it, or why she stops after one but we do know we can expect to hear a velcro come undone at some point every trip.
9. Bed time routine- Naked girl running from the bathroom to her bedroom across the hall, turning the space heater immediatly up to 90 degrees, then finally hitting the power button on her CD player before she turns around and runs to the couch. Got the visual? Need I say more?
10. Chapstick smack- So this all started becuase she use to think when I was putting on chapstick that it was food. So I showed her how I put it on my lips and then smacked them as to visualize there was no chewing going on and thus it was truely not food. Now any time someone busts out a chapstick she starts smacking her lips to get some (more or less she tries to lick it as you try to avoid her tongue).
11. Elephant noise- From what I've been told I make a mean (as in good, not as in mean) elephant noise. Apparently Payton disagrees becuase when asked 'what does the elephant make' she quickly replies with her own lip trumpet-elephant noise.

Well I think thats the all there are (for now). We LOVE her fun little quirks and hope those of you who are not near enough to see them will enjoy visualizing them. As for me I can't wait to see what she picks up next!
